Kelsey Grammer has added another bundle of joy to his growing family!
The Frasier star revealed that he and wife Kayte Walsh recently welcomed a baby boy named Christopher during an appearance on the Pod Meets World podcast.
“It was like three days ago,” Grammer, 70, told hosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle, and Rider Strong. “Christopher has just joined the family.”
This marks the Emmy winner’s eighth child and his fourth with Walsh, 46. The couple, who married in 2011, are already parents to daughter Faith, 13, and sons Gabriel, 11, and James, 8.
Grammer first became a father in 1983 with daughter Spencer, now 43, whom he shares with his first wife, Doreen Alderman. He later welcomed daughter Greer, 33, with ex-girlfriend Barrie Buckner, and shares daughter Mason, 23, and son Jude, 20, with ex-wife and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Camille Grammer.
News of the pregnancy first surfaced in June, when Walsh was spotted in London with a visible baby bump. At the time, a source close to the couple said Grammer was “thrilled” about the surprise addition, noting the pregnancy had “reignited a spark” in their marriage.
The Tony Award winner has previously opened up about how being an older father has allowed him to embrace a more hands-on approach to parenting. “That’s the beauty of being an older dad,” he told The Guardian in 2018, calling the experience “a real gift.”
