Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis Canceled After Miami Strip Club Incident

Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis is officially off. Most Valuable Promotions announced the Nov. 15 fight has been canceled just days after Davis was accused of assaulting a woman at a Miami strip club.

MVP, which launched an investigation into the allegations last week, said it worked closely with all parties to handle the situation responsibly. CEO Nakisa Bidarian confirmed that Paul will still fight for Netflix before the end of 2025, but it will not be against Davis.

With the event fast approaching, Paul’s team reportedly scrambled to find a replacement. Francis Ngannou told TMZ Sports he was contacted but had zero interest.

The fight, first announced in August, drew attention because of Paul’s significant size advantage. Paul stands 6’1” and just under 200 pounds, while Davis is 5’5” and 135 pounds.

The allegations come from a woman named Courtney Rossel, who accused Davis of assaulting and threatening her multiple times during their five-month relationship. She claims Davis approached her at Tootsies in Miami last Monday, grabbing, pushing, pulling, and choking her while she worked as a VIP cocktail waitress. A police report has been filed.

MVP confirmed it is continuing to review the situation. In a statement, the promotion said it is gathering information to ensure any decisions are carefully vetted before moving forward.
